Why?
We need anonymous usage information to improve the site and to monitor suspicious activity. We also serve targeted ads to fund running the site and to expand our articles.
How?
We do not directly collect any data ourselves. Instead we use two services:
- Google Analytics — to anonymously check how readers interact with the site, and to understand where articles need expanding.
- Google AdSense — to deliver ads, targeted or not, based on your consent.
Cookies and your choice
Nothing above runs until you allow it. On your first visit you are asked, and until you answer, no Google script is downloaded and no cookie or advertising identifier is created — rejecting is a single click and leaves the site with no tracking on it at all.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page — the same click it took to give it. Clearing your browser storage for this site also resets it, and you will be asked again.
