Duckhaven
Career guides, life skills and collections for Duckhaven, a Roblox life-and-building game with a duck at its heart.
Duckhaven is a Roblox life-and-building game. You settle into a home, earn money through jobs, train life skills, furnish your property, explore three regional towns and spend time with other players at parties, clubs and player-run businesses. The game has a duck identity throughout, from Duckazon parcels to the Quack Cafe, but under the theme it is a steady home, work and social sandbox.
These pages are written against release R51, Timber in Motion.
Your first day
A new profile starts with $650 in Savings and no cash. Savings is the one account you spend from: wages, purchases and refunds all go through it, so there is no bank transfer to remember.
Your first choice is where to live. You can take a free furnished starter home and move straight in, or claim an empty plot and build from nothing. An optional introduction then offers three paths, Build, Work or Explore, and you can skip it or come back later.
Keep an eye on your four needs: Hunger, Energy, Hygiene and Fun. Eating, sleeping, washing and doing something enjoyable keep them up.
Three towns
The map is split into three regions, each with its own town:
- Riverbend, in the Plains, has a Midwestern feel.
- Evergreen Hollow, in the Woods, draws on the Pacific Northwest.
- Sunstone, in the Desert, draws on the American Southwest.
Sunstone Hollow is the name of the desert mine, not the town. Jobs, fishing spots and trees are spread across all three regions, so you will see most of the map once you start working.
Work and life skills
Duckhaven has 18 careers and 9 life skills, and they are separate tracks. A career is a job: it pays, it gains career levels, and higher levels raise the pay and unlock better equipment. A life skill makes you better at an activity, such as cooking, fishing or carrying heavy loads.
Some names appear on both lists. The Home chef career and the Cooking life skill are two different progressions, and so are the gardening and fishing pairs. Both careers and life skills reach level 99. Hitting 99 for the first time is a permanent mastery, which is separate from prestige.
Each career plays differently. Some are driving routes, some are timed kitchen work, and some are gathering and selling. The career guides cover each one, and life skills explains the nine skills.
Make a home or a business
Build mode lets you construct and finish a house, furnish its rooms, move items around and change finishes. Finishing is free. You can keep several saved properties: there are eight saved slots to begin with, and slots 9 to 14 can be bought with Savings. A saved slot is a stored property, not an extra house you live in at the same time. Only one address is active.
Homes are where you cook, grow crops, raise chickens, pigs and cows, craft goods and brew potions. Those goods feed you, stock player shops, or supply a restaurant. Player businesses can sell meals and drinks for dining in or takeout, offer meal-and-drink bundles and specials, and collect reviews from recent customers. Decorative shop props are just decoration. They do not earn money on their own.
Furnished saved properties can also be sold.
Meet other players
Hosts decide who can visit their home, with guest and blocked roles. Businesses are open to everyone except blocked visitors.
Parties come in four themes: Birthday, Backyard BBQ, Game Night and Dance Night. A party runs for 30 minutes by default and up to 60. Parties are purely social. They do not hand out food, money, furniture or XP.
Clubs give their members progression benefits and optional group projects. Finishing a project unlocks club furnishings such as a banner, a lounge collection, a trophy and an event kit. Project credit is not cash or XP.
Collections
Work and skill training can turn up rare companions, and every career has keepsakes to find. The Collections app tracks all of it, with a picture for each pet and curio, search, a found-only filter and a mastery checklist. See Collections for how pets, curios and the special all-mastery reward work.
