Careers
All 18 Duckhaven careers, where they are, what it takes to start, and how each one pays.
Every career in Duckhaven starts from the Jobs app. Pick the career, start the shift and follow your private work marker. Some workplaces also have their own Start work or dispatch prompt. Finish what you are doing before you switch jobs: completed work keeps its pay, but an unfinished route bonus is lost.
A few rules apply to every job:
- Career levels and life skills are separate. The Home chef career and the Cooking life skill level up independently, and some jobs check both.
- Most jobs are done on foot. Park, stop and get out of the vehicle before using a loading, customer or service prompt.
- Strength speeds up handling, not wages. At Strength 99, the actions a job lists as Strength-eligible take about a sixth less time. Driving, walking and machine timers stay the same, so the whole job gets less than a sixth faster.
- Gathering and selling are separate. Cooking, catching or chopping earns XP. The sale is where the money comes from. Selling something again does not repay its XP.
- “No course fee” does not mean free. Three jobs need a licence paid from Savings: Fuel delivery ($15,000), Garage mechanic ($5,000) and Emergency medical technician ($25,000). Others need a home, ingredients or a vehicle.
Every guide ends with modeled earnings for selected career levels. Those figures come from the game’s own pay rules with stated equipment and timing assumptions. They are useful for comparing levels within a job. They are not measured hourly wages, and they are not a ranking of the best job.
