Petal & Polish nail artists give customers manicures to order: shape, paint, add any art and finish every nail, then cure and serve. It is detailed, accuracy-driven work with tips for doing it well.
Getting started
Start Salon, go to Petal & Polish’s counter, open your workstation and begin a workday. Starter shaping tools, brushes, dryer and supplies are free. No licence is needed.
How the work goes
- Accept a customer hand and read the requested shape, colours, accent nails, pattern and finish.
- Work all five nails through shaping, base coat, polish, any requested art and top coat. Advance each stage once every required nail is done, and add accents where requested.
- Choose the finish and cure the hand in the dryer.
- Remove the hand when it is ready and serve.
Use the correction tools, Undo or nail rework before you serve if something is off.
Progression
Shaping, brush and dryer upgrades unlock at Salon 25, 50 and 75. They change tool tolerances, curing speed or dryer capacity. More shapes, colours, patterns and finishes open up as you level. Buy upgrades between workdays, since the current day’s gear is locked. The first tutorial hand limits multitasking before the regular queue opens.
Pay and XP
A served hand pays once. Coverage, shape, matching art and finish, and curing all count toward quality and tips. Career XP comes from the work itself, not from repainting or waiting. There is no Salon life skill, and Strength does not affect or train from this job.
Common problems
- Advance will not go. Check the required nails and accents.
- Reworking a curing hand. Take it out of the dryer first.
- The dryer is full. Finish or remove a hand that is already in it.

These are calculations from the R51 — Timber in Motion source, not measured play. Each figure repeats one clean cycle with the equipment above already owned, then scales it to an hour. Seller VAT and recurring ingredients or seeds are taken off. Income tax, club tithes, debt repayment, fuel, repairs, gear purchases and breaks for needs are not, and neither are travel delays, mistakes or other players. Treat them as a comparison between levels, not a promise of what an hour of play pays. Strength does not shorten any part of this job, so it does not change the rate.
