Event caterer

Duckhaven career · Your home to the Duck House buffet

Event caterers load three portions of one meal into a van at home and drive them to the buffet at Duck House. It combines cooking with a short delivery, and two of its steps get faster with Strength.

Getting started

Claim a home, get a Harrow Relay van, select a recipe in Kitchen and have three portions of that recipe ready. Then start Catering. No licence is needed. You can cook the meals or buy them, but where they came from changes the pay breakdown.

How the work goes

  1. Park the van near your home’s catering marker.
  2. On foot, hold the load prompt to load the three-portion order.
  3. Drive to Duck House and park nearby.
  4. Get out and carry out the buffet handoff.
  5. Finish that order before loading another.

The order keeps the recipe it was loaded with. Changing your Kitchen selection does not change what the current order needs.

Progression and pay

Career levels raise the job’s pay. Cooking skill and oven upgrades help if you cook your own supply. They are not extra Catering vehicles.

Pay and career XP arrive at a valid handoff. Each paid order also gives 15 base Cooking life-skill XP per order, not per portion. Cooking the meals earlier gives its own recipe XP.

Strength

Loading and the handoff are both six-second actions that Strength shortens, and they train Strength. Driving is not affected.

Common problems

  • Use the required van, park it at the right spot and stay close to the prompt.
  • Reserved or unavailable portions do not count toward the three you need.
  • Teleporting to the buffet does not count. The game checks for a plausible travel time.

Modeled earnings

Scenario: Three meals cooked by you using the same recipe policy as Home chef, with the Cooking life skill equal to the career level, and an already owned van, averaged over every public home origin.

These are calculations from the R51 — Timber in Motion source, not measured play. Each figure repeats one clean cycle with the equipment above already owned, then scales it to an hour. Seller VAT and recurring ingredients or seeds are taken off. Income tax, club tithes, debt repayment, fuel, repairs, gear purchases and breaks for needs are not, and neither are travel delays, mistakes or other players. Treat them as a comparison between levels, not a promise of what an hour of play pays.
