Garage mechanics at Waddle Motors work a fixed three-station loop: collect the toolkit, service the car and inspect it. It needs a licence, and two of its three steps get faster with Strength.
Getting started
New workers need the Mechanic certification, taken through Learning at the garage training bay for $5,000 from Savings. Finish its lessons and demonstration, which you can resume. Players with existing Mechanic experience may already hold the licence. Then start Mechanic and go to Waddle Motors’ service area. Tools and the workshop car are provided, so you do not need a car of your own.
How the work goes
- Hold the prompt to collect the toolkit.
- Go to the service car and complete the servicing.
- Go to the inspection station and finish the inspection.
- The next order starts once the full sequence is done.
Progression and pay
Career levels raise the pay. The loop stays the same three stations; there are no player-car repairs or mechanic gear tiers to buy. The finished inspection pays once and gives career XP.
Strength shortens collecting tools (2 seconds) and servicing (4 seconds), and those steps train it. The final two-second inspection is not shortened.
Common problems
- Do the stations in order, on foot and near the marker.
- The licence training station and the paid work station are different places.
- Enrolling is not the same as being certified, and certification training does not give career XP.

These are calculations from the R51 — Timber in Motion source, not measured play. Each figure repeats one clean cycle with the equipment above already owned, then scales it to an hour. Seller VAT and recurring ingredients or seeds are taken off. Income tax, club tithes, debt repayment, fuel, repairs, gear purchases and breaks for needs are not, and neither are travel delays, mistakes or other players. Treat them as a comparison between levels, not a promise of what an hour of play pays.
