Sunstone Hollow miner

Duckhaven career · Sunstone Hollow mine

Sunstone Hollow miners dig pay-dirt from veins under the desert, wash it into ore and sell it to the mine buyer. Better pickaxes and helmets get more out of every vein, and Strength speeds up the digging.

Getting started

Start Miner, follow the marker to the desert mine lift and go down. The starter pickaxe is free. Your first pay-dirt bag holds 28 and your personal collection sack holds 84.

How the work goes

  1. Choose a vein and mine. You keep mining until you stop, move away, fill the bag or empty the vein.
  2. Deposit the pay-dirt into the hopper.
  3. Washing runs on its own. If the shared wash strut breaks, repair it or wait for it to recover.
  4. Collect the washed ore from your personal sack.
  5. Sell it to the mine buyer, or keep it for crafting or trade.
  6. Clear sack and inventory space before another big deposit.

Progression

Ten pickaxe tiers run from career 1 to 99 and improve extraction. You can buy them with cash or nuggets, or craft them, and then equip them if you meet the requirements. Helmets increase how much each vein gives. Bag upgrades reach 42, 56 and 70, and sack upgrades 168, 252 and 336. The deep chamber needs level 70 and a purchased unlock.

Every ore type can appear from level 1. The tier levels shown describe richer progression, not hard drop gates. Level, gear and Luck all affect rare finds.

Pay and XP

Extraction gives career and Strength XP, and a completed wash credits the hopper work. Selling ore you mined yourself is where the money comes from. Collecting and selling do not repeat the XP. Nuggets and equipment are not wages.

Strength shortens extraction, separately from pickaxe speed. It does not speed up washing. There is no Mining life skill. Related crafting trains Crafting.

Common problems

If you are blocked, check bag, sack and inventory space, equipment requirements, whether the vein is resting, and the wash strut.

Modeled earnings

Scenario: The best pickaxe, helmet, bags, deep access and harness unlocked at each level, already owned, mining a full bag and washing it in one go. Motherlodes and nuggets are left out.

These are calculations from the R51 — Timber in Motion source, not measured play. Each figure repeats one clean cycle with the equipment above already owned, then scales it to an hour. Seller VAT and recurring ingredients or seeds are taken off. Income tax, club tithes, debt repayment, fuel, repairs, gear purchases and breaks for needs are not, and neither are travel delays, mistakes or other players. Treat them as a comparison between levels, not a promise of what an hour of play pays.
